About us

Luse Health is an early-stage company giving clinicians the context they're missing between appointments. We believe mental health tools should be built with clinicians, not just reviewed by them at the end.

The role

We're looking for a clinical psychologist to help shape our product from the ground up. You'd be our clinical voice: making sure what we build is safe, evidence-based, and helpful to the people using it.

What you'd do

  • Help shape our research: which questions to ask clinicians, and what they actually need
  • Advise on which signals (sleep, mood, activity) are clinically meaningful, and which are just noise
  • Help design safeguards so the tool supports clinical judgment and never replaces it
  • Advise on patient consent, privacy and building trust
  • Introduce us to clinicians who'd take part in research interviews

Time commitment

About one hour a month (a video call, plus the occasional email) for an initial three months.

What we're looking for

  • A clinical psychology qualification (e.g. PhD, PsyD, DClinPsy, or recognised clinical training in New Zealand or Australia)
  • Current registration or licensure as a clinical psychologist, ideally in New Zealand, Australia, California or New York
  • Experience in mental health, primary care or wellbeing settings, and an understanding of what clinicians miss between appointments
  • An interest in digital mental health, wearables or AI, whether from research, practice or curiosity
  • An eye for risk: someone who spots what could go wrong as readily as what could go right
  • Comfort with the early stage, where questions outnumber answers and your input shapes what gets built

Nice to have

  • Experience with measurement-based care or routine outcome monitoring
  • Research experience, especially interviewing or studying clinicians
  • A network of clinicians who'd be open to taking part in research

What we offer

This is currently a volunteer role. We're at the research stage and honest about it. In return, we offer:

  • Recognition as a founding clinical advisor on our website and materials
  • Co-authorship or acknowledgement on any research we publish
  • A formal advisor equity agreement once the company is funded
  • A real voice in shaping a product before it's built
